Eid al-Fitr
For the month of Ramadan (April 13 to May 12), Muslims around the world have been observing a daily fast from dawn until sunset. On Thursday, May 13, Muslims will be celebrating the holiday they refer to as “Eid ul-Fitr” or the “Holiday of the Breaking of the Fast”. The holiday commemorates the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. Greetings that are used to wish Muslims a happy holiday, include “Eid Mubarak” (blessed holiday), “Happy Eid”, or just “Happy Holiday”!
Presented by the Islamic Society of Milwaukee.
