The Hoan Bridge will be illuminated yellow at approximately 4:45 P.M. on February 12,2022 in memory of Tina Leehr and in support of the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program.

Matthew Krawczyk and Gretchen Leehr are raising funds and awareness for the LIVESTRONG at theYMCA program in the name of Gretchen’s beloved sister, Tina Leehr. Matthew and Gretchen have a special connection to the program because they have witnessed the amazing impact it can have on the lives of cancer survivors. Tina was a participant in the program at her local YMCA; the program helped restore a sense of hope in Tina as she connected with other cancer survivors and regained her physical abilities. Unfortunately, Tina lost her 10-year battle with cancer on February 12, 2020 at the age of 32.Matthew and Gretchen have committed to keeping Tina’s memory alive by helping others who are facing the same challenges that Tina did in her cancer journey.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a 12-week physical activity program led by trained instructors who help cancer survivors regain strength, mobility, and endurance. Participants also receive a membership at theYMCA for the duration of their program at NO COST. Last year, Matthew and Gretchen raised over$15,000 for the LIVESTRONG program at the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County. They hope to raise even more this year. To that end, the Hoan Bridge will be illuminated yellow on the evening of February12, 2022.

Matthew and Gretchen ask that you consider a donation so that LIVESTRONG at the YMCA can continue helping cancer survivors right here in our community. To donate, please click here – LIVESTRONG at theYMCA Fundraiser | In Memory of Tina Leehr (
