World Hemophilia Day
Governor Tony Evers officially proclaimed April 17, 2022 as World Hemophilia Day throughout the state of Wisconsin!
The Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation (GLHF) is lighting up the Hoan bridge red in observance to bring attention to the global community of people affected by inherited bleeding disorders, including the more than 3,600 patients that reside in Wisconsin. By raising awareness for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders we can increase sustainable and equitable access to care and treatment.
GLHF’s mission is to educate, support and advocate for the bleeding disorders community of Wisconsin. GLHF increases public awareness; ensures access to medical services; provides relevant information and resources; builds a supportive community; and promotes choices that lead to optimal health and fulfill our vision — a life without limits for the bleeding disorders community.
