Islands of Brilliance is local nonprofit offering learning experiences developed for children and young adults on the autism spectrum

Meet Islands of Brilliance

Islands of Brilliance (IOB) runs ongoing project-based experiential learning workshops for youth and young adults on the autism spectrum, providing the opportunity for their innate capabilities, talents, and confidence to flourish. These workshops target critical social emotional learning competencies and vocational skills, helping students elevate their perception of self, and increasing the likelihood for independence and employment as an adult.

On November 7, IOB will host its 7th Annual Colors & Chords event, a celebration of the autistic community’s talents that will pair the sounds of local band Stray Voltage with original art from Islands’ students. Proceeds from the event will help support year-round programming for neurodiverse students.
