Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI) provides affordable, quality, and confidential health care to nearly 60,000 people each year in 22 health centers throughout Wisconsin.
Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin supports racial equity and justice in many different ways. To highlight a few, we stand with our community partners that are experts in this work and alongside them we provide any support that is needed, whether this is related to civic engagement, reproductive justice, doulas and prenatal care, food insecurity, etc. We’re also stepping up and leading by example internally. One of our top priorities as an organization is to be equitable for all. We have hired a DEI firm that is led by people of color that has been helping our organization progress in our own internal journey. We have since diversified our upper management team; we will soon have a position available for a Chief of DEI and coming late spring/early summer we will be opening our first Community Center lead by women of color, connected to our Northwest Health Center in the heart of Milwaukee. We recognize we still have a way to go but we are tracking good progress.
